- • AI images now preview live while they generate (OpenAI) — a rough draft appears and sharpens into the final image, instead of staring at a blank spinner.

- • Retired the FlexSlider library in favor of a tiny built-in slider — same fade galleries and hero slideshow, now with touch swipe and one less dependency (and no extra webfont) weighing down every page.
- • Retired the rarely-used Disqus and Facebook comment options — their settings and front-office embeds are gone (no more third-party comment SDKs loading on post pages), leaving the fast built-in comments.

- • Retired Imagen 4 for AI image generation before Google pulled the plug — the Gemini provider now paints with Nano Banana 2 by default.
- • The REST API can now add, update, and delete post images too — its "read-only" days for images are officially behind it.
- • The post editor picked up a few handy tricks to make writing (and saving) a little smoother.
