Installation

How to install and activate the Security Suite module on your PrestaShop store.

Installation

Requirements

  • PrestaShop 1.7, 8, or 9
  • PHP 7.2 or higher (PHP 8.0+ recommended)
  • Apache web server (for .htaccess-based admin protection)
  • exec() or shell_exec() not required — the module runs entirely in PHP

Step 1: Download the Module

Purchase and download the module ZIP file from the PrestaShop Addons Marketplace.

Step 2: Upload to PrestaShop

  1. Go to Modules > Module Manager in your PrestaShop back office
  2. Click Upload a module in the top-right corner
  3. Drag and drop the ZIP file or click to browse
  4. Wait for the upload and installation to complete

Step 3: Configure

After installation, the module will appear under Modules > Module Manager. Click Configure to open the Security Suite dashboard.

On first launch you'll see the main dashboard with tabs for:

  • Scanner — Run malware scans
  • Threats — Review detected threats
  • Snapshots — File integrity monitoring
  • Quarantine — Manage quarantined files
  • Recent Files — Browse recently modified files
  • Security Audit — Run automated security checks
  • Admin Protection — Configure admin folder protection
  • Settings — General configuration and cron setup

Step 4: Run Your First Scan

We recommend running a Full Scan immediately after installation to establish a baseline. See Your First Scan for a walkthrough.

Upgrading

To upgrade the module:

  1. Download the latest version from PrestaShop Addons
  2. Go to Modules > Module Manager
  3. Upload the new ZIP — PrestaShop will detect the existing module and upgrade it
  4. Your settings, snapshots, quarantine, and whitelist are preserved during upgrades
