What is the Inline Generator?
The Inline Generator is an AI button that appears directly on your Product, Category, and CMS edit pages. It provides instant access to content generation without leaving your workflow.
Accessing the Inline Generator
- Edit any product, category, or CMS page
- Look for the AI sparkles button in the page toolbar
- Click to open the AI generator modal
Generate Tab
The Generate tab creates new content based on entity information.
Selecting Content Types
Choose which fields to generate:
For Products:
- Summary (short description)
- Description (full description)
- Meta Title
- Meta Description
- Friendly URL
For Categories:
- Description
- Additional Description
- Meta Title
- Meta Description
- Friendly URL
For CMS Pages:
- Page Content
- Meta Title
- Meta Description
- Friendly URL
Generating Content
- Select desired content types
- Choose language
- Set context source
- Click Generate Content
- Wait for AI to process
Reviewing Results
Generated content appears in a preview panel:
- Click any field to edit inline
- Use Show Original to compare with current content
- Use the Chat feature to refine with AI
Applying Content
Click Apply to Form to:
- Insert generated content into form fields
- Close the modal
- Save the entity normally
Translate Tab
The Translate tab translates existing content to another language.
Translation Workflow
- Select Source Language (content to translate from)
- Select Target Language (translate to)
- Choose fields to translate
- Click Translate Content
- Review and apply
Tips & Best Practices
- Generate in batches: Select multiple fields at once for efficiency
- Review before applying: Always check generated content
- Use refinement: The chat feature is great for tweaks
- Save your work: Applied content isn't saved until you save the entity
